Rodeo Recap!

It just wouldn't be right if I didn't share our trip to the rodeo this year.  Even if I don't ever post anything else, you can always count on a report from our annual visit to the rodeo!

We shall begin with the traditional pre-rodeo group photo, minus little Katherine who must remain anonymous for now.
First, our row of cuties took a few minutes to watch the stock show.
Then we began exploring the rodeo grounds and each child took a turn being the official map holder.
Adrian's turn was cut short due to safety reasons. He just couldn't stop holding the map right up to his face.
We saw the usual goats, pigs, cows, and such.  Rebekah was especially delighted with the baby chicks.
As was her big sister.  These two became her friends.
Capes and carrots!  Capes and carrots! It'll be a sad day when the children are too old to be thrilled by free capes and carrots, that's all I know.
We had snack time after watching a bunch of dogs and cats pretend to be pirates.
I didn't pack our own snacks like I usually do, so everyone shared nachos, a giant pretzel, and a drink.

On the way to the wild animal demonstration, we ran into the Pilsbury Dough Boy.  The kids had no idea who he was, but loved him nevertheless.
And that's about it.  There was a lot more to see and do, but the Big 3 had school the next day plus we forgot everyone's jackets in the car and when the sun went down it started to get a little chilly.  For being tired, cold, and hungry the kids did a great job hiking back to the car and were soon rewarded with a warm ride home and a quick stop for hamburgers and French fries to fill their tummies!
